Reasons to Hire
Hi-Tech Movers
|
|
1.
We can protect your
investment in equipment warrantees.
|
We employ moving techniques certified by the equipment
manufacturers. Normal "wrap and roll" techniques may
automatically void the warrantees, and may require you to have your
equipment re-certified. Secondary contracts, which require
equipment integrity guarantees are also protected by our methods,
documentation standards.
|
|
2.
We can
project your technical expertise anywhere in the world.

|
We can implement, and verify any setup
your technicians dictate. Setup IP networks, switches and routers,
we have the professionals you need. We can provide talent on site,
on-demand to perform tasks, that you would normally have to staff for.
|
| 3.
We bring the skills that you need to move quickly, safely, and efficiency.

|
Moving heavy, high-value equipment
requires a skill set not typically found in an IT department.
Is it safe to use the freight elevator?
Cosmetic but lackluster elevator maintenance, can reduce the load
limits, of an cabled or hydraulic elevator by 50%.
Hi-TechMover crews are all supervised by a former Otis elevator sales
engineer.
Raised floor panels can significantly vary in maximum load limits, from
panel to panel.
Hi-TechMover crews will establish an inspected path to move the
equipment. Using our experience, and relationships with floor
manufacturers....you'll know that everything that could happen has been
considered.

|
4. We can help to ensure that you don't
have big problems later.

|
Most people notice that even with the best furniture movers,
after a couch is moved a couple of times it just isn't new
anymore...why. Moving is stressful, your equipment is forced
to endure G-forces and shocks that it was not designed, or warranted, to
endure. Buy a new hard drive, and look at the care taken by the
manufacturer to insulate it from shocks...why. Hard drives,
circuit boards, and enclosures are designed to operate at 1 to 2
G's. The average move will subject your equipment to 5 to 15
G's. if well packed, your equipment will not show any cosmetic
damage, however, the damage is done. The result is the the lifespan of your
equipment, may be significantly reduced. Equipment
break-downs are both costly, and often at the critical load operation..
Let our professionals move your equipment, or remember our data
recovery operations for later. Or at least make sure that your
furniture movers put G-force monitors in all of your equipment crates, and
look at them when your equipment arrives.
|
| 5.
We can get you up
at your new location quickly.

|
How long will your equipment be down, if
you force your technical staff to dis-assemble, pack, unpack, and
re-assemble your equipment. We can move you over the weekend,
and have you up and running by the time you come to work on
Monday...even across the country.
Is it either prudent or fair to your technicians to ask them to
miss their son's hockey game, so you can maximize your productivity?
Will it work....or will you be caught in the quagmire of delays, problems,
and legitimate excuses.
|
|
6. We can save you money.

|
The combined cost of technical staff, movers, and planners
will easily be 50% higher than our efficient moves. A Hi-TechMove will generally run
about 20 to 60% higher than a traditional move...with assurances that your
equipment is professionally handled.
|
|
|
|
If
you're still not sure if we are worth the extra cost, then
consider the cost of;
-
extended downtime,
-
loss of warrantee
coverage on hi-value equipment,
-
and the reduced life-cycles of
sensitive equipment relocated as furniture.
Just
one consideration, which comes from our extensive data
recovery work...each time a drive is subjected to g-forces
beyond its design limit...its mechanical integrity is reduced
by a fixed percentage.
This means that even though the
drive may still operate, it will certainly fail
sooner. Professionally relocate your equipment....or
pay later to recovery your mission critical data.
Would you let a truck
driver relocate your yacht? Your Ferrari? Which is
more valuable a new Ferrari, or your EMC server.
